At the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea take in the sights and sounds of more than 300 years of Welsh industry and innovation.

Using cutting-edge interactive technology, the Museum puts you in charge of the experience bringing the past right to your fingertips.

Open daily from 10am-5pm and entry is free!

 

Explore 15 themed galleries which all tell a different story of this crucial period in Welsh history enabling you to be in charge of tracing your own experience of the fascinating - and still evolving - story of industrial Wales.

    • Robin Goch - one of the earliest examples of aircraft in the UK.

 

    • Penydarren - a replica of the world’s first steam locomotive.

 

    • MA James - a model of the slate schooner from Porthmadog built in 1900.

 

    • People Gallery - stories about the lives of 12 Swansea families.

 

    • Achievers Gallery - showcasing a small sample of extraordinary men and women who have shaped modern Wales.
