Weatherman Walking Route: Parkmill - Three Cliffs Round Walk

A round walk from Parkmill in the Gower, the UK's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Learn about the history & heritage of the area as we explore this scenic route.

A 7.1km round walk organised by Tourism Swansea Bay and led Ian Peabody from 'Don't You Wish Adventures'.

The walk will feature landmarks such as Parc Le Breos - Green Cwm (park & woodland), Giants Grave (Neolithic Burial Chamber), Cat Hole Cave, Pennard Castle - a castle ruin, near the village of Pennard build at around the 12th Century and of course the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay.

After the walk is complete we will have a Cawl lunch at the tea rooms in Gower Heritage Centre in Parkmill - a visitor attraction and rural life museum based around a working 12th century water mill.

Distance: 7.1km

Walk / Event Duration: approx 4 hours including lunch.

Maximum number of people allowed on walk: 12

Who can attend this walk?

  • Adults (age 18 or above)
  • Children under the age of 18 only if accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 (max 2 children per parent / guardian). Consent for any children under the age of 18 will need to be signed by parent / guardian.

Are dogs allowed on this walk? - Yes dogs are allowed on this walk. Maximum of two dogs per adult may be brought. Dogs must be kept on lead at all times, have a name tag and owners must be responsible for keeping control and clearing up after them. 

What to bring:

  • Please wear suitable clothing for the weather - bring waterproofs incase it rains, spare warm clothes e.g fleece
  • Walking boots with ankle support and suitable grip for the terrain must be worn by participants
  • Sun cream
  • Please also bring a snack & water for your trip - on return - lunch will be available from the Gower Heritage Centre.
