Gower Walking Festival 2018

Saturday, June 2, 2018 to Sunday, June 10, 2018

The Gower Walking Festival returns, refreshed and ready to go!

In this small pocket of south west Wales, measuring just 19 miles long and covering over 70 square miles, Gower has an abundant rich variety of landscape, flora, fauna and a cultural heritage too. The size and terrain makes this one of the most accessible areas to walk for all, and our festival offers everyone the opportunity to try something new, revisit a much loved haunt, or simply stroll along the water’s edge.

All Gower Walking Festival walks are guided by people who know about and love Gower and who will share their expertise as we walk. There are walks about castles, churches, industry. Walks for wheels, for dogs, for poets and photographers. We have easy walks on the Mumbles waterfront, moderate walks to Pwll Du and strenuous walks to cover the four peaks of Gower. And we also have partnered with specialists to provide Tai Chi, mountain boarding, parkour and coasteering.

The Gower Walking Festival would not happen without the wonderful team of volunteers, many are professionals who have given us their time for free. We are very grateful to all our sponsors and funders for their support in making this festival happen.

Spaces are limited on most walks and activities, so do book early to avoid disappointment. We just ask that you read and take note of our booking conditions. We want this to be your best and safest visit to Gower.

Our mission is to be sustainable for the future, diverse for all, and aware of our beautiful environment.

So, pull on your walking boots and book your walk!
