Swansea Bay Tourism Awards

Tourism Swansea Bay organise the Swansea Bay Tourism Awards every two years. It celebrates and recognises excellence in the tourism, leisure & hospitality industry.

In 2014 nearly 500 people attended the awards ceremony and gala dinner in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea making it our biggest awards yet and the largest attended tourism awards in Wales.

Swansea Bay Good Food Circle

The Swansea Bay Good Food Circle was set up as part of a Welsh Government funded (Regional Tourism Engagement Fund) project in 2015-2016. It's aim is to champion the use of local produce.

It involved a series of events aimed at the food industry in Swansea Bay, the creation of a leaflet & map, website and social media.

Members of the Swansea Bay Food Circle are Restaurants, Bistros, Pubs, Cafes, Tea Rooms , Takeaways,Chefs and Producers of local produce from the Swansea Bay area as well as food events, that promote local produce, and local produce markets.

South West Wales Regional Training Project

Our current regional partnership project is a training and development programme specifically designed for the tourism, leisure and hospitality industry in South West Wales. The project covers Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot County Council areas.

South West Wales Tourism Associations – Pembrokeshire Tourism, Carmarthenshire Tourism & Tourism Swansea Bay – working together, sharing best practice to best support and develop tourism in the South West Wales region.

It covers discounted training – workshops & 121’s – in areas such as –

  • Business Planning
  • Marketing
  • Customer Service

In addition, each tourism trade association holds a variety of other events and activities relevant to their area.
