Proposals To Reinstate a Tourism Provision Within Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council - Over the last year Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has undertaken a review of its 2014 decision to disband its former Tourism function. The outcome of the review is extremely positive and, as a result of the evidence gathered, a commitment has now been made by the Leader of the Council to reinstate a Tourism Unit within NPTCBC.

As part of this process it is important that the voices of partners and the tourism industry within Neath Port Talbot are heard! Your views are therefore being sought on the proposed remit of the Tourism Unit and how NPTCBC can work collaboratively in order to secure the growth of tourism within the local economy.

A workshop event will be held at Aberavon Beach Hotel, on Wednesday 16th May 2018, 1pm to 4pm. The workshop will seek your views on how NPT can develop as a destination and how we can market the area most effectively to attract additional visitors.

This event is being held during Wales Tourism Week which, for 2018, has the theme of ‘Collaborating to Compete’. Collaboration is a key outcome that NPTCBC would like to achieve from this workshop event and would love to see you there so that we can progress to the next steps in creating provision to develop this important sector of our economy.
