Visit Llanelly House – one of Wales’ finest Georgian buildings!
A unique Visitor Experience awaits you where the House, its family history, wealth and scandals come to life through enthusiastic guides and fantastic technology. Some days, you may even meet a character or two from the House’s past! Together with a thriving Café culture in 18th century surroundings and offering a locally inspired menu, our Gift Shop showcases unusual and fine Welsh gifts.
Llanelly House is the heartbeat of Llanelli and its history, the building and its occupants reflect the triumphs and tribulations of the town and the influence Llanelli has had throughout the world. The House was substantially re-built in 1714 by Sir Thomas Stepney and following a sad decline, reached a critical state in 2009. Cambrian Heritage Regeneration Trust successfully secured funding for an impressive restoration project. In October 2013, full splendour of the original design and a wealth of panelling and paintings which reflects the treasure of this Welsh Georgian gem was unveiled!
Llanelly House offers a huge variety of events, packages and conferencing opportunities including Educational Visits, Group Tours, Afternoon Teas, Tapas Evenings, Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions, Murder Mystery Nights, Ghostly Tales, unique Meeting Spaces and more!
